These are the terms for using Recorvita. The important parts, up front: your records belong to you and you can take them or delete them at any time; the service is free; and Recorvita is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device — it never tells you what your results mean.

1. Who provides Recorvita

2. What Recorvita is, and what it is not

Recorvita is a personal health record. It stores and displays medical documents, laboratory results, medications, doctors, appointments and procedures that you put into it.

Recorvita is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

It does not interpret results. It does not calculate disease stages such as G1 to G5. It does not diagnose. It does not warn about drug interactions. It does not suggest treatment or tell you to contact a doctor because of a value.

Where a reference range or a high/low flag is shown, it has been copied from your own document. Recorvita adds no assessment of its own.

Software that performs those functions can fall under EU medical device rules — Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) and the MDCG 2019-11 guidance — and none of them will be added to Recorvita without a regulatory specialist's review.

Reminders about medications, appointments and test dates are reminders, not recommendations.Ask your doctor about any result. Recorvita is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and you should never delay seeking advice because of something you saw — or did not see — in it.

Do not use Recorvita in an emergency. If you need urgent help, call your local emergency number — 112 in Poland and across the EU.

3. Your account

  • You need a working email address and a password. Nothing else is required.
  • Keep your password to yourself, and please turn on two-factor authentication. If someone else has your password they have your medical history.
  • Tell us at hello@recorvita.com if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
  • An account is for one person. A caregiver keeping a record for a family member should use the caregiver access the record's owner grants, rather than sharing one login.
  • You must be old enough to enter into this agreement, or have a guardian who is.

4. Your records stay yours

You keep every right in the content you put into Recorvita. We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, to display it back to you, to transmit it to the people you choose to share it with, and to include it in the exports you ask for. Nothing else. We do not use your content to train anything, to build a dataset, or to develop other products.

You are responsible for what you upload. In particular, if you record information about another person — a family member's history, a document naming someone else — you are responsible for having a lawful reason to do so.

You can export everything at any time, and delete everything at any time. Both are actions you take yourself, not requests you file with us.

5. Free of charge

Recorvita is free for everyone, with no time limit. There is no advertising, no profiling, and no selling of data — to anyone, ever.

Two things genuinely cost money to run and could one day justify a paid option: automatic reading of uploaded documents, and very large file storage. If a paid tier ever appears it will cover those. It will never cover access to your own data, or the export of it. Those stay free permanently.

Because the service is free, we do not offer a service-level agreement. See section 8.

6. Sharing

  • Sharing is always your decision. You choose what is shared, with whom, and for how long.
  • A share can be revoked at any time, and expires on its own.
  • Every opening of a shared record is written to a log you can read.
  • Anyone holding a share link can open it. Treat one like a key: send it to the person you mean to, and revoke it when it is no longer needed.
  • What a recipient does with what they see is outside our control. Share with people you have a reason to trust.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Use Recorvita for anything unlawful, or to store content you have no right to store.
  • Attempt to access another person's record, or to circumvent authentication, rate limits or access controls.
  • Attack, overload, scan or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape the service, or resell access to it.
  • Upload malware, or content designed to break the application.
  • Present Recorvita as providing medical advice, or as a certified medical device, to anyone.

Genuine security research reported in good faith toprivacy@recorvita.com is welcome and we will not pursue you for it.

8. Availability, and what to expect

Recorvita is a young product, built by one person alongside a patient organization. We are straightforward about the consequences of that:

  • The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of faults.
  • Features may change, and some may be withdrawn. If we withdraw something that holds your data, we will give you notice and a way to export it first.
  • Recorvita is your copy, not your only copy. It is designed to be the organized copy of records that exist elsewhere — at your clinic, your laboratory, in your paper file. Please do not destroy an original document because you have photographed it.
  • Maintenance may make the service briefly unavailable. We will avoid surprises where we can.

9. Liability

We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and for anything for which liability cannot be excluded or limited under Polish law — including injury to life, body or health.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law permits, we are not liable for: indirect or consequential loss; loss of data where you had the ability to export it and did not; decisions taken on the basis of information displayed in Recorvita; or the acts of a person you chose to share your records with.

Because Recorvita does not interpret your records, clinical decisions remain a matter between you and your clinicians.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.Polish and EU consumer protection law applies regardless of what this document says, and where it conflicts with these terms, the law wins.

10. Ending this agreement

  • You can stop at any time by deleting your account. Export first if you want a copy — after deletion we cannot recover it, which is the point.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 7, or where we are required to by law. Except where doing so would be unlawful or would defeat the purpose, we will tell you why and give you the chance to export your data.
  • If Recorvita ever shuts down, we will give reasonable notice and keep the export working until the end.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

We would much rather resolve a problem directly — write tohello@recorvita.com first. Consumers in Poland may also use out-of-court routes, including the municipal or district consumer ombudsman (powiatowy lub miejski rzecznik konsumentów) and the EU online dispute resolution platform.

12. Changes to these terms

When these terms change we update the version and date at the top. For a change that materially affects your rights we will give notice in the application or by email before it takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may delete your account — and export everything first.
